2011-12-board-cantor.jpgMichael Cantor ’80, ’83 is co-managing partner of Cantor Colburn, LLP. Within five years of joining Fishman & Dionne, Cantor was named a partner, and the firm evolved into Fishman, Dionne & Cantor. Cantor Colburn is ranked ninth for patent volume and twentieth for trademark volume in the country. Cantor has been an adjunct professor of patent law at the UConn School of Law for more than 15 years. He has served on the advisory boards for UConn’s Institute of Materials Science and the School of Engineering. Cantor serves on the boards of the Connecticut Development Authority and the Connecticut Technology Council. Cantor graduated from the UConn School of Engineering with dual degrees in chemical engineering and materials engineering in 1980. He earned a J.D. from the UConn School of Law in 1983. Cantor and his wife established the Shari G. Cantor ’81 and Michael A. Cantor ’80, ’83 Scholarship at the School of Business in 2004.

2011-12-board-desroches.jpgGerald DesRoches ’82 is managing director and a member of the investment committee at Wealth & Tax Advisory Services, Inc. Previously, he was a tax partner at Arthur Andersen, LLP. DesRoches is a Certified Public Accountant with nearly 30 years of experience with tax and financial matters affecting entrepreneurs, private equity and hedge fund principals, executives and wealthy individuals. DesRoches has been featured on several financial programs, including CNN’s Your Money, Money Matters and Money Talks. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in accounting from the UConn School of Business in 1982. DesRoches and his wife established the DesRoches Family Accounting Enhancement Fund at the UConn School of Business in 2007.

2011-12-board-foreman.jpgAlbert Foreman ’95 is executive director in the Financial Sponsor Group in the Investment Banking Division at J.P.Morgan. Previously, Foreman served as director at Vitech Systems Group, senior business development executive at Virtual Growth, Inc., and founder and head of the Professional Sports Group in the private banking division at Citigroup. Foreman serves on the boards of the Get Together Foundation for the Children, the Ashley Stewart Stores Community Foundation and the ARCHIVE Institute. Foreman earned a B.S. in finance from the UConn School of Business in 1995, an M.B.A. from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a J.D. from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Foreman philanthropically supports the UConn School of Business and Division of Athletics.

2011-12-board-schwartz.jpgAdam L. Schwartz ’97 is co-president of S&S Worldwide, a multi-channel marketer of school supplies and educational activities. S&S has offices in the United States and China. Schwartz is director of the Carla and Stephen Schwartz Family Foundation. Schwartz earned a B.A. from Harvard University in 1989, and M.Phil. from Oxford University in 1991 and a J.D. from the UConn School of Law in 1997. Schwartz philanthropically supports the UConn School of Law and the UConn Health Center.
