Leadership Giving

The Power of Annual Leadership Gifts

The University of Connecticut Foundation celebrates donors who give annually at the $1,000 to $25,000 level as special contributors to the ongoing quest for excellence at UConn. Donors at the leadership level can take satisfaction that their contributions have an immediate and direct impact on the students, faculty and programs they support. Their generous gifts have the power to make a major difference in a student’s future or a faculty member’s research.

When you give on an annual basis you enable UConn to plan for the future with assurance.

Benefits of Philanthropic Leadership

Besides the satisfaction that comes from knowing that their gifts provide significant opportunities to students and faculty, the Foundation offers leadership donors:

  • Enhanced relationships with the University administration, faculty and programs
  • Invitations to special events and receptions
  • Periodic mailings with updates on University initiatives and strategic plans
  • Opportunities to meet scholarship recipients and hear their successes
  • Recognition in published honor rolls

Providing the Gift of Education ASAP - Just One Opportunity for Support

The Annual Scholarship Award Program provides need-based scholarships to undergraduate students. A non-endowed gift of at least $10,000 will provide a student with financial assistance for up to four years.

You choose the payment method that’s most convenient for you:

  • One-time payment of $10,000
  • Four annual installments of $2,500

Rewards

As the donor, you will have the opportunity to name your scholarship and meet the recipient.

Perhaps the greatest reward though is knowing that your gift will make it possible for a deserving student to attend UConn. Need-based scholarships provide essential financial assistance for students from middle- and low-income families and underrepresented populations.
