Our University. Our Moment. is the most ambitious fundraising endeavor in UConn’s history. We will raise support for education, research and outreach—UConn’s three-part mission. Our priorities are simple, yet essential: to grow the endowment to a level comparable to peer institutions, increase scholarships, support the faculty and enhance innovative programs at all campuses.
As the state’s land and sea grant institution, a key part of our mission is to improve the quality of life for Connecticut’s citizens. In our increasingly interconnected world, our mission also compels us to take a global perspective. This Web site describes just a few of the ways our faculty members and students are making a difference and illustrates how our academic plan, titled Our World, Our People, Our Future, will guide us by focusing on our core strengths: health and human behavior; the environment; and society, culture and the arts.
Our $600-million capital campaign gives us an extraordinary opportunity to reach our potential and make important contributions in fields such as stem cell research, alternative energy, teacher education and human rights.
