The Office of Development and Alumni Relations

The UConn Foundation operates a dedicated office to support development and alumni relations at the UConn Health Center, which has received significant philanthropic support from grateful patients, faculty, alumni, and friends throughout it history. These gifts have helped prepare the next generation of health professionals, advance research in critical areas, enhance care for patients and improve the health of our communities.

This is particularly important given the revolutionary Bioscience Connecticut initiative, launched in 2011. Bioscience Connecticut marks the UConn Health Center as a driver for the Connecticut’s economy, as well
as the hub of innovative research for tomorrow’s medicine.

While the Health Center has done much with the resources it receives in research grants, medical reimbursements, state assistance, and student tuition, it is the additional resources from private giving that allows talented faculty and students to achieve their full potential. Our University. Our Moment. The Campaign for UConn.

On September 26, 2009, the University of Connecticut launched its largest capital campaign ever, Our University. Our Moment. The Campaign for UConn. The UConn Health Center's goal for the campaign is $155 million.
